- Please press the toy out of the blisterpack.
- Apple products are no problem.
- Depending on your device the directions differ, Androids take a bit more time since the phones are not standard.
- SkitterBot/TrekBot – No setup, just turn on and go – Use either the charger/controller or the app and control with the dongle pointed at the SkitterBot/TrekBot.
- TankBot – Press and hold to power on the device. Now press twice more and your little ‘Bot should beep 3 times. You now have control. Put the TankBot down and get moving. (If it isn’t working, make sure you selected the correct color within the Desk Pet application.
- CarBot – Runs very fast in mode 1 (the mode immediately after power on) or mode 2 (designed for battling other DeskPet Battle Enabled devices)
- BattleTank – It does not have a mode button – the mode is selected within our Desk Pet application.

Q: My Desk Pet does not work, what shall I do?

- Un-mute the phone.
- Turn up the volume to 30% or more.
- Choose the correct product and product color from the Desk Pets app menu on your portable device.
- Test the phone by removing Dongle and then press some of the on-screen control buttons or move the joysticks. You should hear some loud "chirps"--- If not please repeat steps 1 and 2.
- Android users --- If you are using an Android phone, please go through the "Device Optimization" process which you will find on the "User's Guide" page of our app.
- Plug in the dongle, press control buttons, you should now see the dongle flashing.
- Is sound coming out of speaker but when the dongle is plugged in the DeskPet does not respond? Reset the dongle by flipping the switch of it, ensure that the dongle IS ON.
- Do the dongle LED's not light up when controls are moved? Reset the dongle by flipping the switch of it, ensure that the dongle IS ON.
- Plug in the dongle, press control buttons, you should now see the dongle flashing.
- Your app should now be configured properly and be ready to go.
- (Optional) Some android phones have an equalizer application in the OS which will affect the audio output quality. Please be sure to turn it OFF at Home -> Settings.

- Mute Sound ON/OFF (Double Tap ‘Mode Button’ (If Not Done Quickly It Will Trigger Mode Change))
- To Change Play Mode (Press ‘Mode Button’ Once To Cycle Through Each Play Mode)
- Turn On The SmartPhone Adaptor From The On / Off Switch Located On The Base
- Always Point The SmartPhone Adaptor Towards Your CarBot In App Control Modes
- The LED On SmartPhone Adaptor Will Flash Twice To Indicate The Batteries Are Adequate For Play
- If Required To Change Batteries Please Follow Instructions On Bottom Of Packaging
- The Frequency On CarBot Can Be Selected From Options A, B & C (Underside Of CarBot)
- The Same Frequency On The App Must Be Selected To Ensure Control Of CarBot

Q: I am still having trouble with my Android Phone, what do I do?
A: Android™ Smartphones: Not all Android™ Smartphones are created equal. Upon insertion of the Dongle into the headphone jack and turning it ON, you must also uncheck the “Audible Selection” in the Settings/Sound phone menu. This ensures that the phone doesn't make noise when the screen is touched.
